Youth Gun Season is here...

Today is the first day of Youth Gun season. As I have said before my son and husband love to hunt. They go all out... The night before the "big" hunt Andy washes all the clothes in a special "scent away" laundry detergent and then puts all the clothes in a sealed bag with "dry leaf" sheets to make him smell like the woods. I always ask do you really have to go to all that trouble to shoot a deer...Andy and Drew together say, Yes Mom! I give up and let them at it...If you have a avid hunter in your life I am sure you have this same experience too...They go to all the trouble to keep the scent away and yet they take jerky with them...I still don't understand the whole hunting thing...I would think the deer can smell them and their jerky...but what do I know...I am just mom...Emilee and I stayed home and went shopping after the boys left for hunting...I slept in Emilee's bed and Drew slept with dad--"just for tonight" Drew told me....we went shopping for Christmas presents and had a fun day.....Here is a pic of Drew and Emilee with their rudolph noses...they wanted me to take their picture....They look so cute...

Sounds like a fun day! Dan's sister, Trisha, and her husband moved to our town today. (they had been living close to Cincinnati). Now they are only 5 minutes from us and we are so excited. I'm keeping their little boy, Nicholas, overnight tonight so my house is a busy place! So good to be back in touch with you!
