Drew woke up yesterday and it was pouring the rain...(The first day of gun season) We talked him into waiting till today to go hunting...(better weather and no rain!)he was sad but agreed... They left about 5 am this morning and headed into the woods... while I was getting ready for school Andy called and said Drew had shot the 8 point buck over 70 yards away... !! I was ecstatic.. We had prayed the night before that he would see a buck.. Andy said while they were in the tree stand they said another prayer and asked the Lord to keep them safe and for Drew to see Deer. God kept them safe and brought the deer straight to Drew. God is awesome! Andy said the shot would have been hard for him and Drew shot it like he was an adult.. I am so proud of him!

Shot deer in Wayne National Forest which is about 30 minutes away from house... The buck is couple of years old and weighs about 150lbs... this is a picture with just the cape ... we had already taken the meat to the butcher.. he wanted his picture with it!
