Tonight was Parent Teacher Conference...I have very bright kids..I was very pleased with the progress both my children are making..Drew is reading at a 3rd grade level (he is just in 2nd) and he is well behaved in class. The teacher does think Drew could be doing so much more but he is afraid to make a mistake and so he continuously asks for help from the teacher instead of trying it for himself. He has always been that way. Emilee is just 4 and she is in preschool. I really love her teacher and have taught with her at another school district. She is great. She told me tonight that Emilee is already writing her name (which I knew that already) and leading in all role playing activities. She is my princess and loves to act and read at home. I do not dare say anything to harm her creativity. I think God has something very special for my kids. I am proud to be their mommy.
Today Andy is sick and in the bed. The kids were a bit restless and so I got out the christmas tree and put it up. I know...some think no decorations until after Thanksgiving...well, sorry about that tradition...this year I broke the trend...the kids were so excited and eager to put their own tree up. I have a tree for each of my kids bedrooms. They are allowed to decorate it however they want and I only help if they ask me. The creativity that comes from this simple activity is amazing. I am so pleased and proud to have children like I have. Well I will write after the holidays. Hope everyone has a wonderful season. We all have truly many things to be Thankful for...
